I wanted to make Cheesy Baked Potato, but didn’t have any hamburger in the house. My little brain got to cranking and I remembered a few chicken legs I had baked the night before, so I thought hmm. I took the chicken and took it off the bone and added it to the Cheesy Baked Potato. I took pictures of the chicken but they didn’t look very tasty so I decided to axe them from the post.
I did get plenty of other pics that came on very delish.
I did have three boxes but opted to make only 2 and I am glad I did because it made plenty with enough for leftovers for lunch the next day.
Here is our tasty meal ready to serve to my little family.
With a tasty side salad of spinash and spring mix and it is all ready to dive in.
My husband likes to add a bit of hot sauce to his dish.

I don’t do the Hamburger Helper thing often, but I’ve found that granule style TVP works well as a substitute for the ground beef. Since TVP is shelf stable I always have some on hand which makes these ready-mix meals all the more convenient.

Thanks for comment Jia, I love to receive them and this one in particular I learned something from it. I will need to try TVP, where do I find it? We don’t do hamburger helper often either but it was really cheap and my hubby bought those (grin) The kids like them well enough for a quick meal 🙂

You can find it at any health food store. I buy it out of bulk bins in an unflavored granule form for about $2 a pound. 1 cup equals 1 lb of precooked, drained, ground beef.
