I was having a bit of trouble with my 4 yr old and reading till…
just recently. We sat down this morning and read for a while in our hooked on phonics workbook. Not a long while about 15 minutes is all the attention span I get, and I will take what I can get at this point. Then we played a few math games, which my 4 yr old won both games we played. He was very excited to beat mom :-). We spent approx 30 minutes at our table.
We then went to the computer and visited Learn to Read. We spent approx 30 minutes here and my son just loves it. We then went to Let’s Make A Calendar and spent an additional 15 minutes or so here. We both had a great time.
This is a very nice resource for learning to read that we will use often.

when my boys were little I let them play jumpstart kindergarten and fisher price castle adventures. I’m sure the games aren’t the same now….that was 10 years ago. My hos time flies……
