I get flustered when I have a good idea, but when I sit down to write it has gone bye bye. Lately I have taken up a few habits to keep me from letting those good idea slip away.
1- I use the notes apps on my i Phone to jot down notes on the fly, no matter where I am at or what I am doing.
2- I also have a little notebook in my purse with a small pen attached to it to write down quick small notes. This way I can jog my memory on topics I am wanting to write about.
3- At night I have a journal next to my bed that I use to write down ideas before bed. Also if I dream of anything that I want to write about I can turn on the light jot down the note and go back to bed.
These new habits are working great for me so far and I am sure I will develop other good habits as time passes. Making my writing life so much more about the writing than the sitting there trying to remember that good idea I had.
Do you have any good methods of remembering your good ideas so they don’t slip away? Share them in your comments below and inspire others.

I love the notes app on my iPhone. Perfect for jotting down whatever pops in my head and I know that if I don’t write it down then I wil forget. My other way of remembering good ideas is to tell my husband and my 7 year old. They have better memories than I do.
