My 10 month old doesn’t take naps. He takes cat naps lasting about 20 minutes. I am at the end of my rope here. Any advice for getting a young one to sleep.
I am off to do my homework and see if I can improve his sleeping patterns.

No advice…..but don’t be alarmed, you’re not alone. I’ve been there done that. My youngest (who is now 12) refused to take naps when he was about that age. There was no rest at all for Momma, and no homeschool time for big brogher without baving baby brother (don’t tell him I said that) hanging around. I just started him on homeschool preschool LOL! I had him sit quietly with us while we (big brother and I) worked on learning our ABC’s and 123’s. It worked out pretty good….they are both basically on the same level for shchool now. Check out Candy’s Blog (Keeping the Home in your links to the right) for her quiet time and table activities she does for her children. Here is a link to get you started http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com/2007/11/tour-of-my-home-management-binder.html#article down towards the bottom of the page is a list of table activities she has her children do. Hope that’s helpful.

I forgot to say….Candy’s youngest is 1, but you could start your child now on learning to have a quiet time, which would probably greatly benefit you later as they get older.*wink*

Finally baby naps today, 2 blissful hours of quiet. I hope it repeats itself.
