I was one happy camper when I opened my mailbox .
Craft, Create, Celebrate Life
I get letters in my box from all over the world, a few are regulars in my mailbox and most are just visiting for the moment. I wanted to find out a bit about where these letters come from so here is what I decided to do. I am going to google the cities on the envelopes and share it on these posts for others to enjoy and for me to remember. I want to remember all the wonderful places I receive letters from.
The first is West Frankfort, IL where a new pen friend Elizabeth is from.
Some points of interest that cought my eye.
Crab Orchard Lake A wild life refuge would be a nice place to visit
Old King Coal Festival is going on in September, looks like fun for the family
Check out the City of West Frankfort for more great information
Went to the post box and what did I find? This is what was in my box!
I was tickled by those little spreaders and so were my kids. My husband made first dibs on the hazelnut chocolate square and I got the mint one. Yum mint is my favorite.
This is what I sent via the post office:
Cute vintage business cards and address labels, simple but I think they are pretty. The labels were adorable too puppy dogs and cut flowers with lady bugs. I like them so much bought a set of the stickers for my use as well.
Well I am taking a dive into the swapping world. The more I read the more I am reluctant but yet I want to give it a try. I have sent in my first postcard on Feb 25, and I am now waiting to see my partners comments on this swap.
I am waiting to see what I receive and I have to comment on my assigned partner. I am a bit excited but a bit cautious.
Here is a pic of the post card I sent for my first ever swap. I hope it is what the receiver expected, I am waiting to see what rating I receive. (taps foot as I am antsy)
I did good on this swap and I got an ata girl you did okay.
I sent out my next package yesterday and I am kicking myself in the tush because I forgot to take a picture of it. It was a pretty bookmark with with a pretty butterfly on it. But to no avail I was planning on making one for myself too so I will take a picture of the one I make myself and post it.
I am currently working on craft that is based around the color green. I am having a nice time putting it together. The second package is a Easter/Book/Recipe exchange.
More on my progress on those as I work on them.
To date I have not receive anything yet, my mailbox remains empty sigh yet I hope that will change soon.
