My son (N) loves Martha Speaks and Martha loves alphabet soup. Ah today caved in and bought some alphabet soup at the supermarket for my son. I would normally not cave in and buy this item but he was so inspired I had to get some for him.
Now I am off too look for some Martha Speaks books he wants to read. We are enjoying our Summer very much. If only we could get some 75 degree weather ahhhhh this heat is killing me.
I was having a bit of trouble with my 4 yr old and reading till…
just recently. We sat down this morning and read for a while in our hooked on phonics workbook. Not a long while about 15 minutes is all the attention span I get, and I will take what I can get at this point. Then we played a few math games, which my 4 yr old won both games we played. He was very excited to beat mom :-). We spent approx 30 minutes at our table.
We then went to the computer and visited Learn to Read. We spent approx 30 minutes here and my son just loves it. We then went to Let’s Make A Calendar and spent an additional 15 minutes or so here. We both had a great time.
This is a very nice resource for learning to read that we will use often.
