Putting my binder together and the January section. Going to take lots of pictures to remember Jan 2012 and here is a picture of my journal so far.
I called it Balance because that is my goal for 2012 to have BALANCE in my life.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I loved this book, kept me sitting on the edge of my seat all along. I can’t wait to read books #2 and #3.
Well it finally came to an end on Dec 16,2011. What came to an end you might ask, well here is the story in a nutshell. In mid Sept we got a call from a DHS caseworker we had worked with in Oct of 2010, this is how it all began. This caseworker had a Teen that we had fostered 3 x before up for placement again. The last 3 x this Teen was in our home, she was removed because of wanting to hurt herself. Well she had gone through a year of therapy and now was ready for a home again.
We thought about it as a family from mid Sept to mid Oct and finally decided we would welcome this teen into our home again. After several weeks of family therapy with us and many giggles and boundaries set the teen came to our home beginning of November. At first it was awesome, well it was awesome the first 4 or 5 days, I should say. After that it all started unraveling on us, it was a weekly thing whether it was a behavior issue or issues at school or just because issues. We continued to persevere and work with the teen for 40 days plus and finally the last straw. She did the one thing our family could not over look, and we had to ask DHS to find the teen a new home. It took them 3 days and she is now in a shelter for teens because there is a shortage of families to foster. We felt bad for the teens situation but we needed to protect our family.
So that brings me to where I am now, trying to put our family back together again. I am trying to catch up on many, many things I had put on the back burner. I had done that gladly in hopes of having a different outcome and with the hopes of eventually adopting this teen had things improved and not gone so far south. Now I am back to spending more time with my kids, taking care of our home and doing some of the fun things I enjoy doing when mom needs some down time.
I missed blogging and writing letters to my pen friends and much more. Our home is by no means free of issues, but now they are manageable by us and that just brings a smile to my heart.
To our dear beloved teen our family will continue to pray for you and hope that all will work out the way you want it to.
