fixed and $85.00 later we are up and running.  On the plus side we did find a great plumber for any future surprises we might have.

Now have to continue adding funds to our home maintenance category to replenish the funds we spent on this repair.  What got me this time was that we have just started our funds and we barely had the money in it for this repair.  I pray next time we will be better prepared.

Also learned that it’s okay to not have a water heater for a bit, our family just worked around it and did very well.

I decide to call a certain family member today just to say hi and catch up.  Well it might very well be the worse thing I have done today and it is all on me.

Our water heater broke a few days ago and is in the process of being repaired.  The cost will be approximately I am estimated to be about $100.00.  I have not really been pushing for a speedy repair as it give me time to see where in the budget this will come from.   

Since we just got done paying off all our debt in the begining of this year I am still working on building up our categories for home repairs etc.  Good ol Murphy has not been very kind to us so far.  We have had more than our fair share of office visits and all the payments for that are adding up, and I am praying that maybe we can have several months of health to avoid anymore in that department.

Ah our car would have needed $400.00 in tires but we were able to slide around that one. (that would be a total post in itself)  Needless to say it feel good to not have that on our plates anymore.

Back to my conversation on the phone today.  This certain person is telling me how her husband decided to have their a/c serviced.  It was him who decided to have it check and they were told they needed a whole new a/c unit.  At that point if it had been me I would have made a hole in the ground and stuck my head in it for a long while.  This couple just went ahead and are having a new unit installed to the tune of at least 4,000.00 without thinking twice.  I asked did they get second opinion, nope they trust this repairman.  Hmmm red flags would have gone off in my head.

Point is now I am stressing myself out thinking what if our a/c goes out etc.  Where in the world would we pull out 4 grand to have it replaced if it came to that.  I know this is mindless worrying but I can’t help it now.  It is like when you get a certain song in your mind and you keep hearing it.  It will take several day for me to forget this and it is driving me nuts.
